I just bought a bottle of chandelier cleaner from Amazon. I have heard it works great, but, I havent used mine yet. It has to beat standing on a chair, with windex and paper towels, and wiping everything down. Especially since I have 3 regular crystal chandeliers in 3 different sizes.

Once a year, before the holidays, I take the chandelier apart and wash the crystals individually in warm, soapy water and dry them with a soft cloth. Dawn works great. Once all crystals are off, I wipe down the frame. Then I use a cloth to re-hang the crystals so there’s no fingerprints. Just make sure you have a map for how it goes back together.

Great tips - thank you all!!! I think since this is in need of a deep clean, I should remove all the crystals as you suggest @Shasta.

It will be a lot of work (maybe you can get a helper) but worth it. It will be a good starting point for your new chand, and subsequent cleanings can be with the tarp, making sure it dries as quickly as possible. Pretty Pretty.

I do the same as Shasta, only every other year;^). I actually stagger them so I'm not doing all in one year. Take a picture before you start and with each layer you remove. Droppage will happen. Place a fluffy comforter under to catch so you prevent breakage.

Yes absolutely I will post an after photo! Hoping to pair it with a bold (yet delicate!) floral wallpaper in our dining room. Just have to tackle cleaning it first!
