Older Microwave question . . .

Hi,

Special thank to to all those people who share there knowledge and opinions on this site and others like it. I have a Frigidaire microwave, 2004 perhaps. The "very lightweight" stainless steel decorative panels on the front, are falling off, due to old age. The factory double-sided foam tape used to secure these panels is too old to hold them at this point. I've tried a double sided tape that I had on hand here at the house to stick the panels back on, but after a while they started to sag and eventually fell off again. I'm quite sure this is due to the steam created from boiling liquids in pots, on the stove burners directly below this microwave. I'm going to give it one last shot and clean off all the old tape residue and proceed again with a double-sided tape that is humidity and heat resistant, before I give up and buy a new microwave. No sense in cleaning all the old residue off and going ahead with the wrong type of double-sided tape. Does anyone know specifically, what double sided tape to use ? (humidity and heat resistant)

Thank you for any directives on which specific tape to use . . .
