I’d change the staircase fixture to a recessed light.

I like staircase lighting to show in the window and without any clue as to your style it is impossible to suggest a perticulat light I will say that rug in the entry in no way works for function or to go with the door . Are you planning keeping the carpet ? IMO in anew to you house I usually suggest you leave most things alone for a bit until you get a feel for how the house functions for you and we need mor einfo about your style. It is also helpful to see a floor plan . From your idea books you are fixated on crystal chandeliers , which are pretty but can be overdone very quickly . For instance where is the DR in this house plan.?

If using two, be sure they match and use larger one in foyer, as that’s where you want the focus; below feels awkward on both accounts.

Length of light on stairs depends on its style/length/breath.

If it were me, I’d add potlights on staircase and the perfect light to suit your decor. Have a plan and lighting selection will be easier. Crystal will box you in, so consider the overall feel you want, as well as how it will relate to other rooms/home.

Also IMO lighting in an entry or staircase needs to light that space not the ceiling so think about what you want to light .

The problem here, and even in the examples above, it just looks off. if you hang it too low walking in you'll be looking at the top of the fixture. I think you need to pick a focal point.
