It's a very expensive product aimed at a laundry problem that wouldn't exist if people would stay away from washing in cold water.

I put the lid/cup of detergent bottles into the washer and they always get cleaned out.

But if your considering using Tide One Wash Miracle ($11 per load), know you can duplicate it for less than a tenth of the cost.

Every ingredient in it is also in Tide Ultra Stain Release ($0.22 per load) with the exception of an oxidizer (Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid) and activator.

You can get an activated oxider by using Tide with Bleach powder which has one built in or you can add one of the following boosters that contain activated oxiders:

Tide Bright + Whites Rescue,

Tide Odor Rescue,

Oxiclean Laundry Sanitizer,

Clorox 2 Packs,

Clorox 2 Powder.

The activated oxidizers have antimicrobial properties, especially above temps of 107°F and 45 minutes or more, which helps with odors caused by the average washing temperature being much lower than it used to.

I personally use Tide with Bleach powder and hot water on my towels because it gets rid of odors. I use to have a washer with a sanitize cycle and that also did the job with any detergent.

All the rest of my laundry gets washed in cool water and I never had odors or any indications of them not being clean.

Febreze makes an odor eliminating laundry additive- $8 for 50 oz jug at Walmart. I use Tide with Blesch liquid detergent but add Febreze to my son’s clothes- construction worker. Also good for sweaty gym clothes.
