I bought the 14" Hexclad wok.

I could fit a decent sized turkey in there. It's the only thing I have where I can turn my power burner all the way up because it is so big. It's sides are very rounded - as if a round bottomed wok had a baby with a deep frying pan. It doesn't quite have the classic wok shape - not quite as tall and a different angle of the sides to the bottom - there's a lot of bottom going on and not enough sides. Still, it sits well enough on a flat burner.

The lid is hysterical. It's improbably high and likely fits 5-6 qts all by itself. I haven't used it, but I kind of like the idea of the small, clear window at the top - even tho it would generally be useless. The wok doesn't come with any other accessories, but I could probably pile up a couple of steamer baskets and still put the lid over the whole thing.

I wonder if a standard sized basket would even fit? Cause it's a little bit oddly shaped as I said. A new excuse to visit the giant H-mart.

Is it non-stick? Not exactly but neither is it sticky. Maybe it should be called easy release. Because of the pattern, I can park some stuff on the upper side if I want, you can probably use metal tools because they would only touch the raised metal, but the pattern also is why you need to use some oil.

It's easy to clean - so far. I wasn't brave enough to put in dishwasher. It's the most I ever paid for a single pot, so I'm being very conservative.

I don't think I'll be deep frying in it. It's capable of swallowing like a gallon of oil or more before having enough depth to deep fry something. I guess I could think of it as being fortunate to own something big enough to deep fry a whole chicken?

Does it work as a wok? Dunno yet. I'm not a great Asian cook, more enthusiasm than experience. I did some veg and dumplings - that went fine and was better than my normal. There's adjustments still going on in my head because the heat is great, smooth and delicious - but I'm used to compensating for crappy woks and not being able to get enough heat under the pan.
