I vote for Plan A. I don't like the shower placement in Plan B.

Plan A has several advantages: shower placement, view upon entering the room is balanced, toilet is not as visible, etc. Would love to know which you choose!

Plan A is best!

"B" for bad in that 2 small windows probably will mess up the elevation. Shower will give a toweling shadow show in front. You're not walking into an open, uncluttered feeling (face the toilet wall, glass shower/half wall 'L' shape in corner, 2 built-ins make for many sharp visual corners).

"A" is a little more "uncluttered" in that the toilet wall carries across the shower wall. So your eye will notice 2 areas, a more open 2/3 vanity/tub area and the other more enclosed to ceiling 1/3. However, the vanity/tub built-in closes off the openness a bit, and the tub window will be shorter than others on the front elevation. I like your other plan (other thread) without the tub in front - but I take it you placed a safe room in the closet (where the toilet room was). I'd still have a swing door either into the vestibule or separately to each closet/bathroom.

@3onthetree, We like the plan without the tub in front too. The front window will likely be covered for privacy. The side window will provide a good view of the front garden. We redesigned the bathroom after we decided to have the closet (where the toilet room was) to be a hidden room for safe box and others. I personal like the original design better too. I might need to come up with a hidden room somewhere else.

Under the back stair? First place thieves go would probably be master dresser, then closet.

Under the back stairs will be a safe room. Plus, it's a hidden closet. ( i.e. no one would know it exists ) and to be convenience to access to.

"A" But do an outswing toilet room door or a pocket door is even better.

"A" is much better, but I probably wouldn't block in the left side of tub. If it's about a wall for a medicine cabinet, we don't have any cabinets in our master bath and don't miss them at all - everything goes in drawers between the sinks. I would put a half wall between vanity and tub and extend the tub surround into the niche. Also agree a pocket door at toilet would be better.

Thank you all for the inputs. We're probably gonna get rid of the hidden room and use it for the toilet room. So here is the plan "C". with this layout, we will have longer vanity, enough for a make up section.

The vanity and bench seat corner is a half wall column. Please share your thoughts.

Pocket door for the WC would really save space and that shower looks quite small. Do you need all the vanity space or could you take some of that to create a bit larger shower space perhaps?

Back and forth, we choose plan A and enhance the design a little bit. 10' boxed ceiling in the middle. Dropping the ceiling above the vanity (hopefully) will make it as a straight clean room with everything on the sides. I also like to have the entrance at the middle in line with the tub but don't want to give up the hidden closet space for this. Adding a transom window in the shower (hopefully) help with the front elevation look. Please share your thoughts.

Is the normal ceiling height 10 feet? If so, why drop the ceiling over the vanity? Most people try to get rid of soffits, not add them.

That looks better. again, suggest a pocket door for the WC. If you make the wall between the tub and shower a knee wall with glass above or just glass you will have a brighter shower space.
