'Gruss an Coburg' will last nearly a week and has fairly long stems (and a scent to die for):

'Fred Howard' had ridiculously long stems ("dead-heading" generally involves removing a foot or more of stem, every bloom cycle, to keep the rose anywhere near a reasonable size) and equally long-lasting flowers in a vase, with a nice scent, though not as strongly scented as 'Gruss an Coburg':

My 'Lemon Spice' doesn't produce long stems, but lasts days in a vase and has a glorious scent that wafts to fill the entire room -- I think I cut it and 'Gruss an Coburg' the most often of all my roses:

Bonca, 1 stem provides a vaseful of blooms without the necessity of arranging.Good vase life too.

I don't cut my roses much and don't do HTs or Austin roses, as they don't like my tough conditions. However, I do at times cut a bouquet of 'Mme. Alfred Carriere', huge Noisette climber. The near-white blooms are pretty, long-stemmed enough, have a very good scent that wafts, and last some days. And Heaven knows the plant supplies enough blooms.

@jerijen, after seeing your many posts praising Grandma's Hat, I have to have it. It's been on my wish list for some time. I saw on another post, where you specified the source of your rose. Would Annie's Annual do? I'd love to visit the nursery when I am able to visit up north this summer, but for now I'll just order online.

Moonstone is indeed magnificent, but it has no scent for me.

Chicago Peace and Love and Peace: if you snip these before the bud is fully open, they will last 5 days in a vase.

My favorite, though though, is Memorial Day. Fragrance to die for. Can last a week.

smithdale1z8pnw I had always assumed Bonica wouldn't last in the vase, now I will have to try it! That rose is an absolute workhorse at blooming! Breeder said it will even set seeds in our climate....so amazing!

ann beck... Yes, I agree it's a workhorse & virtually no disease & those little hips are so charming.

I've grown Bonica and its sport, Royal Bonica, and agree that both are lovely, hard working roses. And I've never used either in a bouquet. I just have Royal Bonica at this location, and now I'm going to try it in a vase. Diane

Wow Diane 😍 That's so beautiful. How's the scent? Although, scent isn't always wanted indoors. My daughter says some of my roses in vases gave her a headache if too strong. My house has low ceilings & rooms are on the small size, hence the lingering fragrance.

All of these roses make great cut roses. That is why I grow them. The folks at the bank that I deal with, love them.

I cut whatever is blooming in the garden which goes with the colors in the china I have decided to use for the dinner party. (that is practically the only time I bring cut roses into the house - I like to leave them in the garden). I realize that sounds funny, but it does make a difference to the look of the table!

I'm so sad both my RRs from Edmund's died. I hope I have better luck next time! Madame Anisette is one I've considered over and over and never gone for, but might have to. Are there any singles that cut well? I'm guessing they don't last long and need to be cut well before fully open, but I'd love to put some in arrangements. At the rose show I helped out with a Dainty Bess arrangement won....well, one of the awards. I'm not familiar with them yet :p
