Sunroom Tile Flooring Advice

last modified: 4 years ago

Hello! I’m looking for suggestions for a tile floor for a sunroom we are building. We want something very durable, suitable for an indoor/outdoor setting, and classic.

There are several options in the post, but I am open to other suggestions, too.

First photo shows the hard finishes already selected: house has cream siding with black shutters and a dark gray roof (photo is inspo but same style and colors as our house), adjoining deck will have tan decking and black and white railing, interior of sunroom will have a white gable ceiling and white walls (interior photo is inspo, not our room).

Flooring options:

1. Porcelain tile, concrete look, hexagon shape.

2. Quartzite tile, natural stone, square shape to go in diamond pattern. Color looks lighter in photo because it’s not sealed. Here’s a link for reference:

3. Porcelain tile, slate look, rectangle shape, could be staggered or herringbone pattern.

Thanks for your thoughts on these options and any other suggestions you have!
