My check valve is not like that. it is small and screwed into pump. where would weep hole go then?

The purpose of a weep hole is to allow the air to escape in the pipe from between the pump and check valve, so the weep occurs above the water line and preferrably within the pit. I don't know how a check valve is mated directly to the pump outlet, but located there it would mostly be under the waterline and I don't know how it would perform then. Taking a step back, what brought up the weep hole?

Last pump air locked. we had a compnay come out and they did not install a weep hole. same company same issue air lock again. they wont return call for three weeks. turns out they went out of business. so i need to know where to drill hole. the pump has a threaded check valve to actual pump. the pump does not have a built in weep hole. so i just need to know where i could add a weep hole so no air lock

Move the check valve per GN's drawing.

I wish I could but there is also a back up pump and a y connection witn a chexk valvw on back up.which is why im trying to work with what I got.

Suit yourself. If you're having air lock problems, your pump can overheat reducing it's lifespan (which you've encountered twice already?). If you can't find a reputable plumber to fix these for you the right way, it is DIYable if you have some ability. Provide a pic if you want to go further in this thread.

Ive been having issues with plumbers. They come out and say they dont want to touch someone elses work. I have mobility issues so hard for me to fully do the work. i can manage well enough to drill a hole was hoping that be good. I heard from the plumbers the install is fine but they wont remove it to do a weep hole.

Try a handyman maybe it's something they can do, I know a few retired handymen, some ex plumbers, some ex electricians, some ex carpenters, etc they do mostly everything unless there is something major involved as a matter a fact they do a better job in comparison to some who's in the trade.

Anytime, as the age goes one day we all be there and being at someone's mercy everyone is at one point or another in life.... just need a little patience and finding the right person, it takes some time but someone will come along and take care of you.
