No fan in the kitchen unless it exhausts out.

I'm not a fan of fans in most rooms, specially not in the kitchen! Make sure your HVAC and house ventilation are working properly and you shouldn't need a ceiling fan in the kitchen.

maybe one in adjacent room if this is an open area. modern farmhouse themes shown in pic 2 and 3. ceiling detail creates effect and embellishment with pendants VS. ceiling kept clean and free of fixtures. No ceiling fan as the function it provides would be more suitable in seating area. shift to thinking about light fixtures in the style you propose for your kitchen.

You should know by now if you like having a fan in a kitchen--I'm sure plenty of people here will tell you it is wrong but it's really kind of personal. :)

I've had one in a kitchen and liked it very much. If you decide you want a fan, they've come a long ways in terms of style and I'm sure you can find one that looks good.

I have one in my small closed kitchen and my kitchen is warmer than the living areas even with ac so I really like having it. I love this one and if it is not too big I will be changing my present one for it.

I don't like hanging light fixtures, and the same goes for ceiling fans. More cr*p to clean and clutter up the sight line, especially in the kitchen, greasy dusty blades and all. Maybe in a big room with a high ceiling where it serves a purpose to mix the air, but not in the kitchen.
