My sun lovers 2021: Cutting Edge, Mango Salsa, Afterglow, and Glory Hallelujah. Not only did they thrive in part/full sun in 7b, they looked great all season.

The most sun my garden gets is a max of 2 hours midday, very little dappled sun/shade the rest of the day.

I did have a So Sweet was faltering from root competition and almost absolute shade. Potted a piece up and moved it a sunny spot in the back yard. The first couple years it scorched really bad but has now adapted very nice.

I need to avoid sun loving hosta..I can't give them a good home 😕..between squirrels and a lack of sun Praying Hands nearly died..I planted it in my prime (best on the lot) east facing location..wish me luck..

Powder Blue is not on the list but should be for me. It gets sun until at least 3:00.

Lemon Lime with June & Borwick Beauty (Don still lists it as Color Glory) behind. Royal Standard is at the top.

if I ever move and have more light..I've learned from all of you that hosta can thrive with some sun..I'd always heard hosta belong in full shade..another garden myth..

compared to most locations on my lot this is a "sunny" spot..Blue Angel likes it..

Nearly all of my Hosta get some direct sun but there's only one spot I'd call full sun. From 10 AM until nearly sunset. I had to show this pic taken at 9:56 AM on June 17th. I checked the time stamp after I posted my estimate. So, I guess I was wrong.
