How will a "painter" fix his hacked up notching job?

That’s what I say.

But what can be done. They are all like that.

The floor installer failed to use a jamb saw. Had he done so, the floor would be under the jambs where it belongs with the required clearances. Caulking his way out of this is going to be ugly.

Up to this day, I don't get why "hacks" do this...It takes so much longer to cut and fit the wood around it and they still can't get it right vs. undercutting the jamb and slipping the piece under there... 2 minutes vs. 15 min and 10 trips to the jig-saw.

Maybe wood filler might disguise it somewhat

Someone needs to get one of these!

Not sure what a painter would even do for that

It takes a min each side to get a perfect cut, one you use a scrap of wood the other you have height adjustments.
