Hi renovation experts! We are getting work done in the basement due to water with hurricane Ida in NJ.

The French drain went in 2 weeks ago and now we plan on ripping out the carpet and installing LVP instead of carpet. Do you agree that LVP would be the best flooring choice for basement? I also read that a cork underpayment would be best under the LVP on top of the concrete. Would it be possible to add electric heating under the LVP to help the basement feel warmer? There is 1 forced air vent currently but it doesn’t feel enough for basement.

Also, see attached pics, we plan to keep the old insulation and just close up the walls, are there any issues with this? Any other recommendations would be welcome!
