I much prefer glass to almost any other fencing around a pool since anything else looks like a jail cell. There are rules in most places about the fence required so start there I we did some glass and some metal railing to keep that jail look to a minimum maybe with yours do the glass where the pool is next to the patio and the railing around the part that is fenced now.
