What are your countertops? Backsplash? Other shades of white-ish? Why do people want everything to be white, but not the same white, just 4 different whites that should somehow all coordinate?

***I should also add that we are doing a black island and the reason I don't know what color the cabinets are is because they were painted at Medallion Cabinet in a shade called Magnolia--I don't know where that is from.

It looks great now and the counter is going to tie it all together. I'm not sure about the backsplash. It looks very grey on my monitor. Is the tile a done deal. I'd wait on it until everything else is in.

@daisychain Zn3b Thank you! This was super helpful and exactly the feedback I am looking for. The tile has not been purchased yet and I have had the same thoughts. I am waiting to get more samples in person to be sure that the tile doesn't appear too cool or too grey in person, so far all of the samples have been on the creamer/beige side.

I agree with Daisy about the backsplash.Chloe white has gray tiles in the mix. The photo you show on my monitor does not look like the link, which the true Chloe.

I would wait to choose backsplash.

Yes, it's nice to have a vision but things need to be tweaked along the way.

Sometimes people order extra boxes so they can use more of their preferred colors. More beige, less gray.

Pretty countertops; backsplash has a bit of gray and pink on my monitor. Can you wait to pick a trim color until you have countertops, backsplash and flooring chosen?

Thank you! Unfortunately, probably not. At least not countertops. I have some freedom on the backsplash tho. Update: After a couple days with it I have officially asked a painter to give me an estimate on painting the cabinets in Alabaster (satin). I just don’t think I will like the contrasting whites.

I think it looks nice - not too bright (and I'm not even a big fan of white kitchens)! There have been several threads recently about this exact same issue - different whites - with some gorgeous examples posted of kitchens with unmatched whites. Your counter is beautiful and is going to demand a lot of visual attention (meaning it's what the eye is going to mostly notice) and the whites will be background. I think you should listen to everyone telling you to wait and see. It's a shame to waste a factory finish with a repainted one. I'll see if I can find those threads and post them here.
