I'd plant summer flowering shrub along the cement wall. Clethra, maybe. Ninebark. Philadelphius Lewisia.

Ok I will defiantly look into that. I’m going to start by repainting my retaining wall.

Just my 2 cents here, but painting that wall will create maintenance for you when paint fades, peels, etc. Better to install hedge type plants along there. I am in zone 10 so cannot make plant suggestions. You have an attractive home there and nice patio to enjoy.

Please remove the dwarf Alberta spruce which is directly in front of the window. That would be a nice spot to plant annuals by the front door.

Another vote for not painting the retaining wall since you have room for plantings there.

I would open front entrance more with widen steps.
