My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

wood cladding on island

Can you tell me more about the vertical and horizontal planks please and what thickness etc etc Also it says the bare wood is painted but it looks more as if it is limed? I would be very grateful for your advise - it is hard to find on this particular subject

    Hi Claire. So tha was a raw, reclaimed wood. I put liming wax over it to create that beachy, washed out look. (It also protects the wood.) I'm thinking it was about 3/4" thick, ( it was awhile ago...) There weren't that many options when I had this made. There are some wonderful, new resources out there now! Look at Delta Millworks, and Resawn Timber. Those guys offer some amazing things! Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions. :-)
