This is a stone terrace. Since the project was completed a few years ago, I no longer have a record of what kind of stone. The architects were Samsel Architects, Asheville, NC. They might be able to identify exactly what stone was used.

I will say to be careful when selecting a stone "tile" or any kind of tile for exterior use. Many will not weather well with the changes of cold and hot that most of the USA experiences.
