For a more spacious feeling, think about white cabinetry and a lighter counter top. The natural light would look great bouncing off of a white, fresh looking kitchen.

We remodel 3-4 Deck House kitchens each year and have seen all sorts of solutions implemented. We are actually finishing up a kitchen this week and starting another next week. Most customers go with lighter wood tones for their cabinetry. White doesn't usually match the Deck House style, unless you've painted your decked ceilings and most of the mahogany (which it doesn't appear you have)
