it's perfectly fine. Personally I like glass in the door, but that's me. You could do a type of beveled glass or obscure glass if you're that worried about privacy.

Solid panel doors with sidelites were the standard in my city for most of the 19th c. until the late Victorian period when they started putting glass in the doors (and then often eliminated the sidelites).

Nothing at all wrong with what you show. Here are other variations.
