hi - we bought one last year from Cococo (Comfortable Couch Company) out of NC - they have lots of different leathers to choose from - from super durable to soft/luxe - we did the modern slope sofa in their Ellis Cypress (they have a lot of resources and info on their website about the different leathers if you're interested - they have a very helpful video on there) - my dog loves it lol

IMO a leather sofa needs to be constructed so that the insides last as long as the leather . I think that means no srpings so look for sofas made in italy with a strapping system for support m amke sure the pices is the same leather everywhere and I also prefer cowhide to super soft calf the cowhide does not stretch out of shape like soft leather does. I sold hig end leather furniture for a long time and I have always owned Italian leather furniture . We bought a good sofa in 1974 it was not cheap but our son has it now in his family room with no big expense to just have the cushion on the seat redone with new foam the starpping still makes the seat the same comfort as it was when new.. Check out Natuzzi to strat but not at a big box store since there it will be made cheaper and often no leather on the back. The reason you want leather everywhere is that it breathes and when vinyl gets put on the sides and back you stop the breathing effect.

You can check VIDAXL. My parents had something like that one for years and the leather has no problem. The price is normal for a sofa...For me, it is the best quality piece that they have.

Love our Natuzzi leather sofa. Been going strong for 16 years now. No idea what current prices are, but at the time we bought it the price seemed similar or betther thano Crate & Barrell or Pottery Barn pricing.
