It does not look coastal at all. Coastal contemporary would be lighter, more wood accents and not as much metal. An example…

I am little confused about how you define contemporary coastal, because I didn't think much shiny metal was a part of that idiom, but maybe I am mistaken, and here you are showing it in both the table and the chandelier.

Although I have only had two cups of coffee today, which is waay less than my usual quota, so I am not exactly cooking with a full tank.

Would it be possible for you to surf the internet or Houzz and find some rooms, either dining rooms or even living rooms or family rooms that express your decorating tastes and theme as much as possible and paste them here in the comments?

If there is a thing or two you don't like, you can add that.

For example, I like this living room, but I would never get a sectional. Or sea shells are taking it too far. That kind of thing.

Another thing, if you are in Florida, maybe there is a specific decorating vibe in parts of Florida that is more glitzy and glamorous? I don't know, just asking.

I was in Florida twice when I was young, both times recuperating from school semester exams, so decor was the last thing I thought about!

I appreciate your feed back… I was trying to use my Thayer Coggin dining chairs and try to incorporate them into a coastal feel. And as you can see I am struggling. I love the dining chairs maybe I can use them with a different table and chandelier and be able to pull it off.
