i love it! Our first house was a bright yellow, and I felt like it was cheerfully welcoming us every time we came home. If you want to change the front appearance, what about adding some flower gardens?

I would change the door to match the crepe myrtle ;^) and probably add a red maple to the yard- if they grow there.

@heatheron40 yes! That’s a great idea. They do grow here. We have a few on the property and they are beautiful.
We can absolutely try and add more.

For everyone here, what color GAF roof do you recommend for a yellow house? Ours is a pale yellow called 'butter up'. We're in FL!

While we're in a totally different climate :-), the classic contrast to yellow house siding here is black. When we chose the colors here, I used a historic home to choose the colors by holding up those color sample cards up to compare to the historic house color. We ended up with yellow stucco on the house with black for the front and garage doors, white for railing and pillars, and a medium silvery gray on the roof. Since there is so much yellow, I have no predominately yellow in the plants in the garden :-) The picture below is not very good and is 5 years old but shows the overall look in early August. Yellow is a happy color for a house; a few black accents add drama.

Maybe some colourful flower beds along the edges of the lawns?
