Long ago I had a dimmer installed in my ceiling fan, and had a remote that controlled both the dimming and the fan. I lost the remote a long time ago and I'm not really that interested in replacing it because I'd rather use smart lighting. I haven't the foggiest clue where to start with removing the dimmer - no idea what it looks like or where it is or how to remove it and then reassemble - zero experience here, folks. Is there an easy way to do this? Or is my best bet getting a new remote? Oh, I also have no interest in using the fan either really.
