Are the large boxes protecting the figs? Confused.

Yes the fig trees are in the boxes for the winter

What Zone are you in? Do they need protection? What kind of figs?

It looks like many branches have died. Did they?

Mike I am in Zone 6b Canada ON and I haven't had any die back in five years doing it this way. Mike they are just dormant.

Your zone explains the boxes. I'm surprised that even this works. It's good to know what one can do with the proper protection.

That's crazy. What the coldest it can get there???

I have to wrap insulation around mine, then burlap and then plastic to make sure I don't loose branches.

Maybe doing what you do is all I have to do.

What kind of fig trees are they?

Meetmike i am not sure of the varity it gets minus 20 c here i just put plywood no indulation just to keep the cold wind off the trees

Wen you upload picture and it's blurry you must wait until it's sharp clear only then you can try to upload an another one, that is how much I know, and usually it works 😀

pictures have to be under a certain size i cant recall what size that is .

What i use is windows resizer as i take picture with old camera and then load on desktop and open resizer and it makes it smaller into KB.

Pictures probably have to be under 1 meg.

I think that rycooder is using cellphone to make and send pictures.

Rycooder, go to camera

Click on camera, it will open camera and on upper right corner there is an settings icon, it will bring you here click on Pictus size, which will give you options, then chose 1:1(6.MP) try this size, it should automatically resize pictures that you will be sending wherever.

I am not sure if that will help but Please try.

Yes i have used phone but not good with that tech <cell phones>

But i loaded pictures onto desktop and resized them under 1 megabyte usually 450 kilobytes.

Either way whatever works . :)

The cut in half look nice, is the white one Lattarula ? Maybe not it looks quite large.

I had large fig too, and waiting for YLN which looks large then this one.

I am not a big fan of large figs but they look nice hanging on the tree. It was sweet juicy not jammy, it's skin was sweeter then pulp.

Oh my gosh 😲 I kind of remembered that you are in cold climate, but wanted to see if I remember correctly so I was looking back at the top and realized that you are in Canada 🇨🇦 ! Silly my I forgot !
