Polyscias Fruticosa Ming repotting disaster

Hello, i had really bad fungus gnats, so i decided after many other attempts to just repot all the badly affected plants. i gently shook off all the soil, sprayed the roots with hydrogen peroxide 3% and then repotted in houseplant soil mixed with mosquito bits and orchid bark. the other two plants i did this too are okay but my ming is dying, its turning yellow and drooping badly. my question is, if i cut back all the foilage to the bark, let it overcome its repotting shock and repair its water absorbing roots will it sprout new growth or have i killed it? its about 4 foot! Thanks
