Why a brown floor? I don't think They pair well together.

Personally, I I'm not a fan of the mini brick for the niche.

Here is what we did. We chose tiles that we're already matched. We used the polished for the shower area, unpolished for the floor. Inside shower we did unpolished mosaic.

Niche, same shower tiles.

I would find tiles in the taupe already matching for floor and walls.

I am not a fan of the brown floor with the brown vanity. Dark floors will show the dust etc.

ETA we shopped and shopped Some more and thought we could piece to tiles only to discover they did not pair well together our home.

I hate to see hair on the floor I currently have a light floor and it shows all the hair too. What don’t you like about the mini brick?

Mini brick is very dated. I am personally not a fan of niches as I find them hard to clean the grout lines. I have a shelf under the shower head that goes all the way across. Plenty of space for products and easy to clean. The vanity choice is good but brown floor no!

I would love some design board ideas for floor, shower walls, shower floor and niche that would look great with this color vanity.

We used a blue and grey marble-look porcelain tile for the shower walls and main bath floor, with similar color vanity. The pattern would hide the hair.

If you have hair on the floor, you need to clean it, not buy new tile. I don’t care for the all taupe look at all. It’s nice to have some contrast and interest.I really don’t like the brown cabs with the crazy blue marble either. OP, I like your options, although the small tiles may not be the best choice for the niche. Once you put stuff in the niche, it looks messy.

Wow SandyWillowFarm that’s a harsh comment really of course you clean the tile if hair on it. That’s not why we are replacing it. Your comment is NOT helpful.

The 2 large tiles are very similar in feel and color. I think it will end up looking dull and not be a bright room. Something patterned on the floor always hides fallen hair, but also creates interest. I agree with the others that small tiles in a niche create the opportunity for dirty grout in a short time. You need to make sure your tiler can cut larger pieces for the niche to reduce the grout problem.
A subtle pattern floor tile with beiges and grays could work with your primary large tile.

Thanks it a large bright bathroom doing the floor in a pattern I feel will be too busy? And outdated soon as styles change this is a huge expense I really need to choose tile that will not be out dated soon as this will be the last remodel I do lol

Kim, You need something whiter/brighter in there (or a cream color). Look at lighter floor tiles in a different shape than two large rectangles. That alone makes the room more interesting.
Creamy tiles will also match your shower wall tile.

I just put mini-brick glass tile in my shower niche last year. I don't care if it's dated, for me it adds interest. I don't like everything monochrome. So if it speaks to you, go ahead. I wouldn't do a kitchen backsplash with it because that would be too much and is definitely dated, but in a niche there is a much smaller amount of it. I just have it on the back wall of the niche.

Like a lot of the other posters, I do agree that the floor tile you chose is too dark with the vanity cabinet. The easiest thing to do is to use the same tile that you chose for the shower wall on the floor. If you try to coordinate something but go lighter you run the risk of getting something that doesn't really work. If you do something different, look for undertones and make sure you don't end up with something that clashes in certain light.

For the niche, i think your shower wall tile would look best, rather than the mosaic.

For the floor, it seems like your shower wall tile could work as well. Do you have inspiration pics so we can see what look(s) you are aiming for? that might help with suggestions!

I think the idea was to have something pretty as a focal point when you walk into bathroom you’ll see that wall?

Your niche usually has bottles of shampoo in it so the tile won’t show anyway.

One idea that I have used in the niches in my home is to tile only the back of the niche and use the marble that is the sill of your shower for the top, sides and bottom of the niche. No grout lines and keeps the eye candy of the tile in the niche.
