let it bud out.. and then go in with hand pruners.. and cut out the dead stuff ...

do NOT shear it ...

and give it the rest of summer to fill back in..

and if you dont like it by early fall ... meaning its not filling in fast enough for you ... then just get rid of it ...

thanks... will wait and see what unfolds! The plant is planted in a raised bed along the foudnation of my home. It is probably vulnerable to drying as result.... It may not be the best plant for thids spot.

i thought to add.. if this was right out the front door.. and i had to look at it a couple times a day .... everyday ... id probably be done with it ...

but if its around the corner.. and somewhat out of view.. id be curious to see how it reacts .. or what my tolerance for it might be ... lol
