Do you use a mirror to check yourself before leaving, if so a mirror if not IMO a nice piece of art would make that space feel more alive and rug to go with the art.

I like to have a mirror near my front door, but if you never use it then art would look good. As for the rug, people really like ruggables which are washable. I have a waterhog doormat which isn't a lovely thing, but it is very practical as nothing is better for when you come in from the rain or snow. I don't know how long the hallway is but you can always have a runner after the practical doormat too. I like your front door, it's simple but atttractive.
