why were you running the heaters during the day anyway???

in your zone.. one would expect that you needed heaters only at night and even then.. rarely.. when the temps fell below 40 or so ...

Well, let's call it a combination of ignorance, forgetfulness, and laziness.

And it doesn't help that I tend to work until about 3am, so I don't get up until 11am. We would have several days and nights of cold weather followed by a spike in heat of 30+ degrees, so by time I woke up (and thought about it) the damage would be done.

I'm clearing off land now, and plan to move the greenhouses to a full sun area that's a bit farther from the house. So I definitely need a heater that can do some of the thinking for me.

I just had the WiFi version delivered today, and so far so good! I think I need to buy a small AC to go with it, though; heat off and door open, it was 107 in the greenhouse today! :-O
