What's the fill? It looks pretty good/fine compared to the chunk o junk that's called fill around here.

You might want to take a bit of time now to tamp it down a bit, let it rain/settle in a bit. See how much it sinks/settles and then decide how much topsoil you need.

it is pretty packed down in front foundation. the plan was to plant shrubs but i don’t know how much of this to dig out to add topsoil. A foot maybe?
