8 x 10 Bedroom Floor Plan

Need help! My in-laws moved it and for the foreseeable future. Love them so not a big deal, but we had to give up our master bedroom.
Husband and I are now in a super weirdly shaped room and I'm having a horrible time trying to figure out a floor plan!
We have a double/full bed, two end tables which are 15inch wide each, two tall dressers that are 17" deep and 27.5" wide each. Our biggest problem is the doors! There is a door on either side of the room and I'm having a hard time convincing myself to change the bedroom door to outward swinging. Because of the doors we weren't able to put the bed on the 8ft wall. It's under the window right now but my end table makes it hard to get to the closet. Sorry for my crude drawing. Hope someone can help me!

Patricia, I guess we never thought twice about giving up our room for them. Not sure if it's a cultural thing? No walk-in closet, the closet door is also only 22". It's a small house, 955 st ft all together. 3 bedroom 1.5 bath.

Thank you to everyone for the suggestions! I'll upload some pictures tonight to give a better idea.

I'm going to look at ikea for some smaller end tables, we really only need for our phones and like tv remote.

We have always slept in a double bed and we have never used our bedroom for anything other than a bedroom luckily. The only issue is whenever we have a bed against a wall, I end up next to the wall and I hate having to crawl out to the foot of the bed to get out of bed.

My MIL suggested putting the bed facing the window so the headboard is against the wall with the door. Honestly if we could get a bed that was ~70" long instead of 75" long, I'd be happy ᾒ3.

Thank you for submitting your floor plan and the measurements of your furniture in your initial post. That is so helpful!

If changing the door to outward swinging would resolve the issue, I would do it. Even if you change it back later. And getting rid of one end table would help. Maybe even both. A storage headboard could give you the storage of the end tables without taking up floor space.

When you're left with a bed and two dressers, I think you will find it easy to place everything.

If you switch out the end tables for wall mounted tables, that will save you a lot of room. In general, look at your walls and vertically for space. The sooner you switch the doors to outward swing - the more room you'll have in the long term.

IMO all that stuff will not fit in there . If you post a floor plan of the whole level where this space is you might get some other ideas. Sorry but why did you have to give up your space and is there space you could get from an adjoining room. I nnedto see the whole level this room is on.Is the closet a walkin closet I need pics and more info.

We have a student bedroom it is 9 x10 and honestly a single bed against a wall with a small desk and one night table pretty much fills the room the dresser is in the closet .

I love that you are up for sacrificing your space for your in-laws and that you get along with them well enough to do so. Sometimes you have just to make space work because of things like these and there is always a solution.

When we were staging our house, I wanted to swap out our vintage beside tables with something more contemporary. I picked up for quite cheap at Home Goods two of these kinds of "C" tables. I put them so the short side faced front. It has saved us so much space that in our new home, this is what we are using instead of our old vintage tables that took up too much space. Would something like this work for you?

(I admit they are small and hold a tiny lamp, pills, water, tiny clock and glasses. My books and laptop go on the floor next to my bed.)
