It is a sub-tropical plant that absolutly must have sunlight to germinate.. The more the better. There's no reason for starting them indoors,they will germinate and grow just fine outdoors. Getting this late a start,I would keep them in pots until early to late fall. I would start seeds in no less than 1 gallon pots and trans plant to 5 gallon by 90-120 days. Alternately you could start in 5 gallon,either way they will need plenty moisture first 7-10 day until germination.

Hi, thanks for the reply. They have been outside now for a week and i keep them moist, and still nothing popping. So im thinking either im just impatient and its not long enough, or i missed the curve by keeping them inside for 5 weeks, or i got junk seeds worth nothing. But ill keep watching them to see what happens.. :)

I would contact the source of seed to see if they think there's still hope for them spouting or if they want to replace seed. It will soon be warmer weather than plants from seed like to establish. This forum isn't near as busy as it once was but if you ask,someone might have plants that have came from seed off their plants.
