Winter Snow and Empress Wu were both on sale at Lowes this week, cheap and large. Could fill a hole quickly, but may want to sink their pots in the ground (plant in their pots).

FYI I got HVX buying hostas at Lowe's.

Annette, my most gorgeous hosta is my Komodo Dragon- the way it holds the rippled, wavy leaves upright, the color, the slug resistance- it's just an arresting plant.

Did voles get them? That reference to "sinkholes" implies that a critter ate the roots. Even when mine get root rot I get to see the dead dark soft roots.

I placed an order yesterday. I ordered Komodo Dragon, Guardian Angel, Dahlonega(this is to add to my "Georgia" garden) and a new Afterglow that I'm going to try in a pot this time. I ordered a couple of other medium sized as well.
