Paint color help!

Hi! I’m wanting to paint the shutters/railing and get a new front door but am struggling with the color selection. I initially thought black magic/iron ore would be good but am worried it would be too dark on everything considering the front of our house is dark with the tree coverage. We would also like to make it feel more New Orleans and embrace the existing railing.

I would prefer not to paint the window trim being that the windows are new and that color also matches the garage/doors. Help!

Your mock up makes a lot of sense. I don't think it looks too dark at all. You've come up with a great solution. It contrasts nicely with the light color of the brick.

I'd paint the railings dark too, to contrast and show more. Lovely home.

Those are not N.O. style shutters.Louvered ones that can be closed for privacy and air circulation over an open window would be more appropriate. If you have the budget, see about Romabio to change the brick to white with masonry paint and paint the wrought iron black. Replace the light fixtures with classic French Quarter style ones.
