Update the wall? What the heck do you mean ? Mirrors are only good when they reflect something worth seeing twice so remembe that when you move that mirror which BTW of course reflects nothing. Waht will this space be when you are done? Will there be a TV where is the floor plan so many things before worrying about this wall.

The paint already looks updated, and in good condition. Its a nice color. If that is the mirror up so high on the wall, yes, it needs to go. Nothing should be hung that high, and its a bit small too., for where it is hung. You need to put some more pictures and explain a bit better just what you are wanting to do.

but get a round mirror and bench. If they let you, try doing some of the trim molding on the wall for accent.

Is that flooring staying? if so, a diff wall color would prob look better. the walls look like a cool silver, the floors a warmer shade of browns/pinks/creams

paint the indoor side of the door this soft blush tone, (and possibly get a diff style door like pictured down in the corner), hang some art on the wall in the same tones, get an updated ceiling fan or ceiling light

or you could do a leather w/warmer art tones like shown here.
