Annuals Bamboo Design Dilemma

Dwarf bamboo companion plants

Can anyone suggest what I can plant with dwarf bamboo to have a pop of color? I have dwarf bamboo in long rectangular planters, they have been there for around 3 years and there is some space at the base that looks a little ugly. I would like to plant something colourful to fill in the gaps and give a pop of color in the spring. I would really appreciate any suggestions!

Can you post a picture of one of them? It would help to see the planter size and conditions. Also - where are you located (climate)? How much sun do they get?

be a great time of year. to bare root them.. clean them up.. and repot them with new media ...

media does wear out overy few years.. and that might be part of why your old plants are looking a bit ratty ....
