Furniture Apartment Bedroom

Studio bedroom helppppp

Downsizing to a 600sq ft studio apartment. I currently have a queen size bed, and two very small floating nightstands, but what can I do in that little nook on the side? Cant do a chair or writing desk because I already have a built in desk right across.

I believe there is enough room for them but I don’t want a chair. I will have a desk chair directly across this opening, and two more chairs in the living space.

I’m thinking maybe I can paint that side wall a dark color and add a minimal shelf. But I’m not sure.
