Do you know how tall and wide the (boxwood?) plants in the beds are expected to grow? Every new plant is small when you get it, and many people end up planting too close to something. If a plant is expected to be 4' wide at maturity it should be a minimum of 2' away from a wall, path, or another plant. You should be able to relocate a plant while it's small.

Your stoop and walk look cluttered with too many pots. I would remove them all. I believe you were trying for a symmetrical look, but your house is not symmetrical and I think your plantings would be better with an asymmetric arrangement.

I would move the raised bed from the left to extend the raised bed on the right where there is more of a slope. Fill this extended bed with a low, trailing perennial. To the left of your front door Plant a tall, narrow bush, making sure to place it so its mature width won't crowd the door. I've placed larger shrub specimens, but notice I had to move them further to the left, and on the right there is only room for two. Again, check the expected mature sizes for these shrubs. In front of these beds is a border of low plants. Choose whatever plant works in your climate.

Pulling the bed to the left of the door out at the corner of the house and planting a small understory tree there at roughly a 45 angle out from the corner would look good. Connect the bed to the front of the house with groundcover. The overly pruned shrubs in the above picture and the tall narrow conifer next to the door are exactly what you want to avoid in your small house. Use small shrubs and let there shapes be natural.

Ane, BTW, the foundation is so small that you don't need to cover it. Use a mix of deciduous shrubs as well.
