Periwinkle color

Idk about adding anipother color, how about some sort of paneled wall treatment painted the same color. It would give you the interest that youre looking for while keeping it simple. Which wall were you thinking.?

This is the wall but the wall unit will not be there. There will only be a large television on the wall with a low entertainment center.

And a t v on a dark brown wall is the perfect solution to a "in-your-face" black t v screen.

I'd hang some patterned drapery panels on the windows to get the 'color' you are looking for.

How about White?

it would freshen the space and compliment your furniture.

I tend to like this Aegean teal color also.

That is a very big wall to commit to an intense color..but if you do want an accent ….i would keep it in a more pastel tones..perhaps one or two shades lighter on your selected color choice…buying a quart or big sample card to put in the room to see how it looks at different times of the day…when you remove the shelving unit….the new color will make a much bigger statement…too dark may just overwhelm the room

Chocolate and mint green were the colors in one of my favorite apartments, but were used in the bath. The walls were mint and the curtains and a skirt under the wall hung sink were chocolate gingham checks. It was really sweet. That may be too dark for you though. Generally, I don't like accent walls where there are already architectural features like your windows. I do make an exception for a fireplace wall if there is no other feature than the fireplace itself. I also don't like to draw attention to a TV, and would prefer to distract from it, or dissolve it away against a black wall.

Not sure you require an accent wall with the mint green.

I think I might consider drapery panels for those windows instead.

No to accent wall. Add life in a rug, pillows on the sofas, a RUG ....

Show more. Include the adjacent spaces, and more viewing angles. It's never all about ONE wall.

Beverly FlaDezinger in your photo you show a decoration above the screen TV. Do you recommend decor above the TV Since this is such a large space?

I wouldnt put an accent color there, I would paint it the same color as rest of the walls. However, I dont think periwinkle is a good accent. Chocolate brown would be. Agean Teal, I love. Its a beautiful color, but, I am not seeing it with the mint.

I agree no accent wall needed. Sounds to me your looking for a little drama. I would look for drapes that have the same color as your sofas for background with a little pattern.

Suggest not making that an accent wall as room in general won’t benefit and with windows breaking the wall up, it could feel patchy.

When making chsnges, it’s always a good idea to look for inspiration, to help with a direction, colors, window treatments and how accessories pull a room together.

I’m not a fan of your mint green and if interested in painting the entire space, suggest a softer green, with accessories that feel both modern and warm,

Nelida, placing items above or around a TV should be determined on a case-by-case basis. It just depends on what the room "needs".

I'd prob do something like this.

new ceiling fan, a lighter wood media console, wall mount the tv, bring in darker tones w/chairs/rug, add some green plants, some other wood accents.

see the darker teal up in the top right and this velvet color chair? This is a nice accent color.

not for a wall, for accessories. bring in art, chairs, throws, pillows, maybe in a rug,,,,these are the tones you need w/the mint green

Your wall color lends itself to a color scheme I refer to as "Sea Glass" Don't discount that 'white' can be your accent color for the room. The room needs texture and some contrasts, but not dark colors. Muted colors would be a better choice.

These are all from the same Green Hue Family as Behr’s Light Mint.

Depending upon light quality they may appear more green, blue-green or even blueish.

We don't know if you picked the mint color, and if you did, some houzzer help could move it forward, accessories, etc...

even with new teal paint, there'd be decisions...

Question: does this soft, low-contrast look have any appeal, whether in mint, or soft teal?

There is a white rug throughout the house except kitchen and sunroom and of course bathrooms.

Decided on no accent wall in the living room, but kept all walls the same color. Took down the large entertainment center and replaced with a new wall TV and a low entertainment center for storage. Added white light see-through curtains.

any chance of updating that ceiling fan? for one, the blades are too short to any actual cooling, And, it's too high. You need another down rod.

The style really detracts from the room.
