They are etiolated. ie they are stretching to reach the light. Otherwise they look fine. Just give them more light.

Or get them closer to your light source.

When will they bush out and look like a real plant?

I thinking of getting new light lights..i guess i probably will. I'm not sure how long I've had these and im not sure they are even the right ones for seed starting but if light is what they need than light they'll get

I don't think I can put them in larger containers. If I do that that there's no way they'd fit under the lights What do you think?

They will have to go into larger containers soon or they will not progress to plantable size. They cannot grow much more in those little cells which are designed only for germinating seedlings. They must be potted on and you need to raise the lights to fit. Or better still start hardening them off to natural light outside.

Should I go into 3" or 4" pots? Should I use potting mix?

Zinnia definitely need bigger pots -- you could do 3" or 4". They're tender annuals in my zone -- so no it's not time to harden them off, they're much too small, they need a strong source of light and heat to grow on bigger before contemplating hardening off; ambient home temperatures will do.

Well I ordered some 3" pots and have a new light system on the way.

This seems to be fairly expensive but I guess that's the price you pay for growing varieties you want

Besides, I'll be all set up for next year.
