What style of cabinet / door? Full overlay? Inset? do you need hinges?

The cabinets have inset shaker doors with a very minimal shaker profile. The hinges will be hidden. Drawers have slab fronts.

I have some cast iron bin pulls I could pilfer from other places in the house, but I don't have enough for every cabinet and I'm prone to catching the corners.

If you want to spend the money (and you can get the cheaper on other sites), these are gorgeous. They come in other finishes too.

Thank you! I know of House of Antique Hardware from working on our windows, but never thought of them for cabinet hardware. VanDyke's is new to me, but looks great.

What would you recommend for color/finish...brass hardware as in the lights? Or black/dark grey/bronze?

We used Rejuvenation--they have fairly frequent sales--and the hardware has held up well (although we got it back before they were bought by Williams-Sonoma, so not sure if the quality has changed!) Our old house kitchen has a mix of latches, cup pulls, and more traditional pulls, with exposed hinges. (In retrospect I would have skipped the cup pulls, though.) We used polished nickel but they sell their hardware in a range of finishes. We've used both HofAH and Van Dyke's in the past too--Van Dyke's is hit or miss, with some super low-quality items and some that are better, but they have always been good about taking things back so sometimes worth a try for lower cost options. I've only gotten a few things from HofAH but have been pleased with the quality.

I think you could either match the brass or go with a darker finish, depending on taste.
