Tile distribution can be convoluted! Large distributors will buy tiles from the manufacturer and rename them. The resellers and tile shops that buy from those distributors will sometimes also rename the tiles. They all want to make you think they have an exclusive product that you can't find elsewhere and do some price comparisons.

Even fancy tile places like Walker Zanger or Ann Sacks will rename the tiles they sell, most of which they don't make themselves. If you order from them, you will receive the tiles in the original packaging straight from the manufacturer and it will have the original manufacturer name on it.

On these forums you will see many people using the popular Montauk tile from Tilebar. Tile bar doesn't make any tiles, they just resell. That same tile is made by Equipe and called Mallorca. Also sold by Soho Studio as Myorka and sold by Ivy Hill as Amagansett. Told you it was convoluted!

I don't see an issue with your tiles, as long as it was just a rebranded version of the same tile. If they made a substitution for a similar tile without asking you to approve the new tile, then I would have a problem with that.
