Ken if this is a house you pass, send us pics later in season…….if not, will will have to imagine—-maybe daylilies are tucked in there somewhere or they use pots, or it’s just dead tulip leaves…….lol

I don't have an app - I use my laptop and just go to Houzz.com. I used to go to gardenweb.com but had problems signing in and out etc. Mostly I actually have notifications in my email box that bring me to a thread I am following and that is how I access the forums.

The daffs and other bulbs are beautiful, but omg look at the houses! How magnificent - is the whole street/neighborhood like this? Where I come from, houses like this are usually (and heartbreakingly) in the worst parts of town, with nothing but dirt and broken glass in the front yard, with maybe a rusting car in the yard too.

Even if there's nothing but grass the rest of the year, it's so nice to see such lovely houses in such a well-kept neighborhood!

yeah dee ... the whole neighborhood is like that .... you can see his 2 neighbors in the pic ...

he is excited about tulips and then lily coming on.. i may have seen some hosta in pip stage ... and i think i saw some of the snapdragons mentioned in my other post ...

if someone reminds me. i could easily go by once a month over the season ...

i posted this on my phone;.. what a nightmare... i had to wait until i got back to the laptop to reply ...

Daughter just purchased and wants this sort of 'cottage' yard she calls it. All I have to give are shade plants...it will be an adventure!

I'm guessing those are newer homes made to look like older homes. They're too well maintained to be real.

In my part of New England there are lots of old houses that are well maintained. If these are new, the builder did an amazing job with having the proportions and roof pitch correct for the time period, and the corbels are gorgeous.

I'm thinking those are old homes. I don't think most builders would build new homes to look like that, or at least not a lot of them in one area.

I noticed the rain barrel too. Love it!

#1 daughter arrives today to collect the 20+ pots /plants I culled from my gardens. I hope her neighbors don't' FREAK when they see her front yard in a day or so!!!

Looks a lot like my old house. Important goal was to stage perennials in such ways that they come up to cover dying foliage and then create new show and then new show etc...looks a bit wild but people sure loved it.

the tulip bloom bolted due to a hot week of weather.. i didnt make it over ...

as of yesterday.. allium were speckled thru the beds ...

Wow, how wonderful! I wonder what his/her neighbors think of this? (although I think I see another lovely garden next door.) I'm also thinking how it must be nice to have so much time to spend in the garden! I'm jealous of both the garden and the time lol. Not to mention the wonderful neighborhood!

i asked what was next.. and he excitedly said the hosta were coming.. and how beautiful the flowers were on those.. maybe that was the kindred spirit that called to me .... lol ..

and then he went on about scoring a bit haul at some joint on 127 that was going out of business because the dudes were moving to ireland.. lol ... small world..eh .. he wished he had bought more ...

his name is tony .. and since he was again sitting on the porch i saw his laptop.. and had him google up the perennial forum to show him the post ... told him if he joined he could be tony_tecumseh.. btw.. adrian is my zip code... i live 5 miles down the road.. and my kids went to tecumseh schools ;...

the neighbor opposite the white house.. has a nice garden.. and some gorgeous gingerbread ... ill try to get that house in next time ... apparently he is a social stop for all the power walkers ... so in general.. the neighborhood approves ...

Just beautiful, and I appreciate the updates. I'm actually surprised how nice it looks now, given all the room the bulbs would take. Looking back at the original pictures, I see there were spaces for other plants, but when I first saw those, I just saw "flowers everywhere." Lovely.

And yes, bonus points that he was familiar with Hallson Gardens. Darn, wish I'd been there for the moving-to-Ireland sale.
