I am in the design process and one of my options has my cooktop 9' from my sink. There are no obstructions between the cooktop and the sink, but I'm concerned that it may be too far.

I could locate a prep sink near my cooking, but it wouldn't allow me to have the induction cooktop and wall oven that I deeply desire. I would have to go to a gas range as I cannot find a 36" induction range that I really like.

So I guess my question is do you feel that 9' is too far from the sink?
