Look at what I discovered....

...a fledgling housefinch making itself comfy on one of my hosta pots.

It choose the location well. It's been raining steadily and it's made itself @home on the edge of a pot of 'Ice Age Trail', so nice big leaves to hide under and stay dry. It's been there for a couple of days now and the parents appear to feed regularly.

Beautiful pic! And love your Ice Age Trail, I didn't have any luck with mine. Maybe I'll try again and put it in a pot this time.

When reading your post this AM, I looked out the window and saw a Carolina Anole scampering across a tree limb. It brought a smile to my face. We had that terribly cold winter in 2021 and I only saw one Anole last summer. They are back with a bang this year. They love hiding in my hosta, so there must be some little bugs in there.
