Where to end backsplash

Installer wants to go all the way to moulding. The outlet is actually two separate outlets with the middle one being a dummy and though it looks like you could split them right down the middle the wall plates will not fit after tiling is done. Any ideas or thoughts?

I don’t think moving them is an option

A few inches above the bottom of the upper cabinets, with the switches in the tile (its easy enough to move the electric boxes a little forward so everything fits)

The picture is deceiving, if you tiled to end of countertop the wall plate would have to be cut or shaved … it’s to wide

Do you have a way to finish off the edge of the tile? If you do, I'd stop the tile at the end of the counter (or upper cabinets) and move the switches (just 2 if possible) onto the tile entirely.

If you tile to the molding, you kind of have to tile all the way down to the floor. Mention that, and I bet your tiler changes his mind. :)

Don’t tile down to the floor in that gap. A trim board painted to match your cabinets will disappear

Align tile with edge of upper/lower cabinets, and move electrical box far enough to the right to allow at least half of a tile. You will need to do some drywall patch!
