The blushed one in the center is an eye stopper. Kind of reminds me of a summer poinsettia. As my cardinals say...purdy purdy purdy.

is that center one red?

Very cool, looks like a good variety of some interesting looking Hosta, you must be pleased. I know I would be.

mine are just starting to blush/ripen

hosta maker, I'll let you know on how long the blush lasts. This is it's second year, third generation from Fist Blush. In the first picture, the green ones surrounding it and the smaller blues are all

showing various degrees of blushing - just not as pronounced.

Looks good. sometimes you nail it the first cross others you have to cross blusher to blusher. i was lucky with bloodline and found the right pod parent and got 3 decent blushers to start a line. it lasts at least a month sometimes longer. starts brown and intensifies to maroon purple. the yellows are the most striking. but the blush only lasts a couple of weeks. so a good quality plant is neccessary to keep interest the whole season.

since i have a batch of tc i have experimented with light and temp.

i will start shipping these in the next couple of weeks.

some i forced under lights for early blooming to share with other hybridizers.

under lights where there is no sun movement or wind you can see lines where leaf overlap and shading was. the light striking the surface ripens the compounds the plant sends up into the leaf.

its always interesting to see how far the blushing goes each year under different weather conditions

Thanks so much for the added information. I'm just a backyard hybridizer, but its always fun to see what a new cross will bring. Best of luck with your tc's. World on Fire reminds me of mine. I'll be interested in seeing how it does next year in my garden.
