It is a Platanus, aka Sycamore (in the US). It is potentially a huge forest size tree. It looks good in that photo but is potentially going to outgrow the location. If it is the leaf shape you like you could look at smaller Maples.

Thank you!

I could be an urban alternative called "London Plane" tree. It's popular in urban areas due to pollution tolerance and disease resistance. Both would be a little large for that spot when mature. They aren't super fast growers though.

The two scientific names are:

American Sycamore, Platanus occidentalis

London Plane: Platanus acerfolia

There are smaller trees with the maple shaped foliage (like a hand or star) and also smaller trees with the mottled bark. Kousa dogwood comes to mind with that kind of bark, at least somewhat. I love sycamores, but they need space. I've seen them in front and back yards, my last neighborhood had rows and rows of them as street trees planted in the medians along the sidewalk. So fine for front yard as long as you know eventually it will tower over the house and shade the front. Don't plant close to the house. The bark peels off and drops so some people consider it messy, the bigger it gets the more bark it drops, but can be easily cleaned up . . .
