I swore i was done for the year, but she just leaped into my hands 😁. I blame all you enablers, with all your gorgeous pix. This year I also bought Wheee, Wind Beneath My Wings, Fragrant Blue, Snake Eyes, Tootie Mae, and Fire Island (all from local nurseries, just LPP from big box). I hadn’t bought any new hostas in several years so I guess I was due.

Guilty as charged for enabling and being enabled. My lack of will power astounded me yesterday.

    Bedazzled.

Good luck with it. It can be a bit finicky. Mine has survived but not thrived. Perhaps I should try throwing it on the driveway or at least moving it somewhere else. It worked for Bridal Falls which was growing nearby.

I bought one a few years ago. Never did well, moved it, potted it for summer, replanted in Sept. Died, just threw out the roots.

Mine were from Bluestone Perennials online several years ago. They were shipped in a biodegradable growers’ pots. One promptly died of sclerotia above the surface; the replacement was fine. The original plant recovered after several heavy dousing made of antifungal and thrived. It may be one of those to try a few times until you get a good one, or buy it like an annual when found in Lowes or in-person garden store.

Here's mine. It was new last spring and was a good size (everything I got last spring was big). I think I got it from NH. I finally dug it up(I wasn't gentle!) and tossed it in a pot to see what happens.

My new LS Paisley Print from Uniquely Hostas, arrived today. It’s the one on the right. Yeah, I know I have a big one in a pot, but I gave my MIL the big one that was in the ground. This guy was supposed to be hers, but I decided 6 weeks ago that she deserved to watch hers unfurl in the spring (so pretty). So, mine is hers and hers is mine.

Utog, when did you place your order with Uniquely Hosta?

I placed an order in November and haven’t received it yet. Getting a little anxious.

I placed an order in early December. I received no email of order confirmation. I checked credit card statements to reassure myself that I had actually placed the order. When I found the statement with the payment to Uniquely, I emailed them and called them last week. In the email, I listed the plants I ordered, the total charge, and the date that they processed the charge. I did not get a response to the emails or phone calls, but I received the box 1 week later. It contained 2 of the 3 plants I ordered. There is also a credit-refund* from them on my credit card dated yesterday, which covers the cost of the missing plant and the associated shipping. They changed ownership last autumn, so I think the new team is still figuring things out. The plants are undeniably great, though.

*Update: After I received the 2 of 3 plants ordered yesterday, I found that the credit/refund that had appeared as a pending transaction from Uniquely on my card 6/1/22 had disappeared by evening of 6/2/22. I do not know if this means that the missing plant is in transit or not. There has still been zero communication from them. If the missing plant does not arrive by next week or the credit does not reappear, I guess I will be calling them again.

@oursteelers 8B PNW, check the *update on my post from yesterday on Uniquely.

This was my first time ordering from them…none of this is inspring a lot of confidence!

With previous owner of Uniquely hosta I had zero problems communication. Marlene would respond to texts and figure out things right away. I agree sometimes it is hard to figure out changes. Pity they are stopped selling online at all. Hopefully temporarily.

My Paisley print has been great grower and I have several. Biggest one did not survive overwinter in pot, my fault. But here this tiny slip was run over by lawn mover and look at it now.

For some reason all my LS hostas have been good for me.

My story is like annette’s,……..bought it medium size, move several as everywhere I put it, it burned. I finally potteded it and Then I put it in the shadiest spot I could. In late summer, I put it back in the ground in shade. This spring, barely there. When it showed no growth, I yanked it out and tossed it it. Won’t try again.

Well, I was going to place an order with Uniquely but after reading your comments I definitely will not do that since who needs that aggravation?

I cancelled an order with Uniquely just a couple of weeks ago. The order was placed in Nov 10 and I had tried reaching out to them a few times.

After hearing multiple times ”we do shipments in the order received” I finally canceled. I 100% do not believe there were THAT many orders in front of mine.

That same day I placed an order with Sebright and just received notice my order is shipping.

I will not do business with Uniquely again.
